KEVIN KILLIAN ~

Pasolini

First, after the spots in the Sun

the twenty-seven holes in the coronal

Then, the meeting in the hotel

with a man in a cape only more discreet                                                       Visconti

First, look at the blackened scar

an elbow like a piece of macaroni

Then on the plate

I nearly came while I was looking                                                               "No Hands"

First, both ways, crossing the

street to the traffic island

Then a big van painted multicolor

hippie style, a tiger across it                                                                              The 60s

First, why don't you shave

your filthy face is burnt with oil

Then you could maybe eat

a bit of fruit like maybe, my little guava                                                          foreplay

First in the Mezzanine Palace

of the ancestors

Last on my list of like

required reading, get it?                                                                                  Lovecraft

KEVIN KILLIAN'S SELECTED AMAZON REVIEWS ~

Here is a book that truly works like eating delectable chocolates right out of a splendid box.

The reviews and appreciations Rand-McNally-stretch from 'Gerber’s Tender Harvest Sweet Potato Baby Food' to the southwest poet Drummond Hadley in a book design from Semiotext(e) that quickly resembles one of the hefty tomes from The Library of America — complete with typeface skill, author's photograph and excellent paper stock choice.

Win-win. Don't hesitate.

RAY JOHNSON ~

not nothing

SIGLIO 2014

Ray Johnson has forever been my favorite modern artist (USA) — a mixture of so many — Duchamp, de Kooning, Picasso, Cornell, Cage, Brainard, Warhol, Bruce Conner, and somebody I'm missing. It's good to miss somebody, keep a space open.

"Dear Andy,

I telephoned John Cage and t old him
that you wanted me to  interview him for Inter
view and he laughed and laughed and said  "That's
the funniest thing I've ever heard."
I said  "Maybe we could not talk to each other
for a half hour?"

Ray"
