THE SPRING WOOD IS GREENING




The spring wood is greening

the mud roads are gone

the river an emerald

bird calls pinpoint the yard's axis

leaves all raked and composted

lettuce and spinach coming up

you put on a royal blue baseball cap as a lark

I say keep it on

you look terrific
