all hands
(photo : sean proctor/nytimes)

It might not look like much, seen it hundreds of times, rolling out the tarp onto the infield during inclement weather, but I just love it that handwork is still being seen in this over technological and modernized and nearly crippled society.

By working together those guys are talking together, working together, thinking together. They're pulling an idea.

They aren't waiting for some ATVs (god forbid if it comes to this) to strap onto either corner of the tarp and pull.

It's people stuff, while people in the stands watch, wait, and the rain falls. Or may soon.

Umpires wait, heads down.

All sorts of colors and caps and slacks and yanking, and mother nature runs the show.
