Bob,

Peter Garland's music is new to me, but I'm on my third listen to Walk in Beauty today and a copy is winging its way toward me courtesy of Mr. Amazon. Especially loving Jornada del Muerto. Lurie and the Lounge Lizards on the other hand are old friends but it was nice to be reminded of them and sent me digging in the stacks. In a nutshell, what I love about the birdhouse: things I don't that I soon love, things I love that I might have forgotten.

stay close,
mike

Mike,

Between you and me (our private correspondence), Peter fits right in with that essay you are much drawn to by Andrew Schelling, and of course the one you are composing yourself of rural arts, music and breathing deeply.

Great to hear you found a copy of "Walk In Beauty". I was hoping I could provide the whole album, and all recordings, and still inspire or egg someone on to go find their own copy.

That's Mike Luster for you.

all's well, Bob
