After all the pomp & ceremony of the Inaugural 2013, climbing the regal stairs out with all US royalty, President Barack Obama stopped and took a moment to have one more look out at the people, the crowd, the landscape. One could see the young man heart of Obama here, as we have after the Sandy Hook killings etc. It's all timing and knowing when to turn, when to take a moment, and this man does.

the man's exquisite timing and heart, indeed: his legacy as perhaps the greatest President.

And your tribute--pure poetry of the heart.

Our president sure does know "when to turn, when to take a moment" as you write here, Bob. As I was seeing this "Live" yesterday, I felt the true magnificence of his humanity, giving us also a glimpse of our selves, as a country of terrible mistakes and tremendous capacity for growth. Barack Obama has real vision. There's a few poems in his motions. Thanks for this, Bob.

Hello Conrad & Donna,

Yes, to you and with you both!

I thought the framing of Barack Obama in the doorway, and the only one to know to do such a thing, was the Inaugural Poem.

It's too bad we couldn't have had Gwendolyn Brooks there to read her Chicago for this Chicago President. But in the spirit of this President's raising during a Civil Rights time, Amiri Baraka or Sonia Sanchez, from that time and still with us, would have had the poetry this country needs to hear.

Maybe next time
stay warm!
