Dear Bob,

What a great way to start the new day, the new year. I was home for the holidays that weekend. I can't remember if I saw Townes there at the Rubiyatt that time or not but can't really imagine that I didn't. My folks still lived in Irving, Texas just down the road from the then new Texas Stadium built where my friends and I used to ride our bikes. The Billy Graham Crusade was happening there and I realized it was a chance to get in free to see the stadium. I went and walked down aisles of the stands filled with people and stood long enough to listen as a groupl of cheerleaders led the crowd, " Give me a J: J!, Give me an E!..." I turned and left, little knowing my favorite song had just been written.

stay close,
mike

Mike,

You, of course, on the Heartworn Highway.

Still there.

Loved the story, so will others, so will TVZ, listening in.

New Year cheers from Ice Land,
Bob
