WINTER REVELS ~

About One More Wood

From this little wood,

at last,

for ever or for years

the mushrooms have gone.

This happened slowly,

over thirty years.

And now, as I think back,

this disappearance, their "going"

seems one single action,

like the dying away

of a long-lived orchestra

of a long-lived choir.

Dear Bob,

Lovely poem from a poet unknown to me. For at least ten years now, the Birdhouse is my store house of the known and the should be known.

Stay close

Hi Mike,

A terrific poet now gone to us but he left many books and a fine translator. I know you will go further with this one.

Here from the land of falling snow, heavy rain, rising mud.

all's well, Bob
