ANNE WALDMAN

its aspen leaves turn yellow
the tray is the mesa
the hurricane is relentless
the masters are exposed
Well known Naropa Institute scholar and poet Anne Waldman published these itty-bitty tracks in earth poems from Longhouse in her booklet Mammalian. Anne first contacted me in 1974 with a postcard from Allen Ginsberg's farm in upstate NY and suggested we stay in touch and some time meet. In 2004 we finally met on a lake blown street of Milwaukee. It only took 30 years. Her many books, anthologies, CDs and performances are known by many.
